A theatrical church created in Gaudi style, with turrets that appear to sink into the ground

Sagrada Familia

Barcelona, Spain

The Sagrada Família is a famous church that has been under construction for a very long time. Building started in 1882 by an architect named Antoni Gaudí, and even after more than 130 years, it is still not finished today! When it is finally done, the construction will have taken almost as long as it took to build the Great Wall of China.

A large expansive cathedral interior with carved beams running through and stained glass windows.

Even though it is not finished yet, it is already a beautiful and amazing sight with its unique styles, tall towers, detailed decorations, and colorful stained glass. It was designed to be a “church of the future” with columns resembling tree trunks, motifs and designs from nature and a modern-looking facade.
