Hawa Mahal is a really cool and famous building in Jaipur, India. It looks like a giant pink castle, and it’s called the “Palace of Winds” because it has tons of tiny windows—953 of them!
These windows are shaped like little balconies, and they’re made so that the wind can blow through them. This keeps the palace cool, even on hot days, meaning there is no need for air conditioning.
The palace was built so that the royal ladies could look out and see what was happening in the streets below without being seen themselves. They could watch parades, celebrations, and everyday life while staying hidden inside. The building itself is made of pink and red stone, and it looks like a giant honeycomb or beehive from the front. It’s super tall, but actually, it’s quite narrow inside.
